Hungarian/American running for Congress in New York
March 22nd, 2008
Jo napot
As an extremely proud Hungarian American, it is my honor to invite you to join my campaign for Congress.
Throughout my life, my parents and grandarents instilled in me the value of freedom (a value they learned first hand), the benefit and satisfaction of hard work, and the love and respect for our unique Hungarian cluture. Please become a part of history and help elect a Hungarian American to Congress this year!
As my campaign begins, I can only wonder how proud my parents and grandparents would be. It causes me to relfect on my childhood in Dunellen, NJ just miles from New Brunswich where a thriving Hungaian community exists. I recall those Sunday afternoons gathered around the kitchen table to eat and listen to "Hungarain Melody Hour" on WCTC radio from New Brunswick. They were proud to be Americans, but they never forgot their Hungarian Hertiage. I will bring their Hungarian pride, with a sense of values and commitment to American into our Congress.
As a elected County official already, I believed it was my duty to educate those I represent about the importance of our freedoms. There is no better way to do that than relating our own Hungarian struggle for freedom. To commemorate the 50th annivesary of the 1956 Reveloution, 17 months ago it was my honor to bring together local Hungarians and the Hungarian Counsel General in a formal cermony to commenorate those brave Freedom Fighters. If you would like to see details of this event go to www.westchestelegislators.com. Click on the First Legislative District or search my name. Look for media news releases from November 2006.
Please join me in this new quest: a quest to reform our Congress, to improve our economy and to restore the greatness that made America so atttractive to our ancestors.

Koszon!
Sincerely,
George Oros
